In the center of Borås, in the city's Culture House, is Borås Art Museum located – one of Sweden's largest museums for contemporary art outside the metropolitan regions. Free admission to all exhibitions and programs.

Borås Art Museum has free admission, and our regular tours and introductions at the museum are free of charge. For private group tours, see the information below.

Guided tours is offered as follows:
Tuesdays: Introduction (approx. 15 min) at 2 PM
Thursdays: Tour at 2 PM
Saturdays: Tour at 2 PM

Restaurant

In Kulturhuset, right next to the museum, you'll find the restaurant Utbult Borneby & Co, which offers a bistro and café menu.

Accessibility

Before Your Visit:

Transportation service (färdtjänst): Transportation services drop off passengers right at the entrance of Kulturhuset.

Pets: Guide and assistance dogs are allowed, but please inform the entrance staff so they are aware of the presence of pets in the museum.

Wheelchairs: If needed, there is a wheelchair available for loan. Please ask for assistance at the entrance.

Storage Facilities: On the basement level, there are coat hangers and free lockers available. Inform the entrance staff if you need to use the lockers.

Restrooms: There are restrooms on every floor of the museum. One to the right in the entrance, one upstairs, and several on the basement level, as well as in the studio. The restroom at the entrance is accessible.

Changing Table: The restroom near the entrance is equipped with a changing table.

Food and Drink: Eating or drinking brought-in food is not allowed in the museum premises, but please feel free to visit the restaurant in Kulturhuset.

On site:

Elevators: There is an elevator and stairs at the entrance that take you to the exhibitions on the second floor, as well as down to the cloakroom in the basement.

Seating: There are available seating areas on all floors throughout the museum. In the entrance, there are foldable chairs that you can carry with you during your visit. The number of seats and their placement may vary depending on the exhibition.

Language: Our staff speaks Swedish and English, and we offer guided tours in these languages.

Sign Language and Audio Description: Please contact the museum in advance if you need help arranging sign language or audio description services.
